2024 New York State Assembly Primary Results
All 150 seats in the state's lower legislative chamber are up this year.
The Democratic and Republican primaries occurred today in New York to select candidates for the November general election. That included the races for all 150 seats of the State Assembly for regular two-year terms.
The New York State Assembly currently features 102 Democrats and 48 Republicans. 137 incumbents ran for re-nomination today - with open seat contests in Districts 1, 11, 18, 35, 41, 69, 70, 96, 100, 109, 133, 148, and 150. It only takes a plurality of the vote for a candidate to receive their party’s nomination.
