2024 Pennsylvania State Senate Primary Results
25 of the 50 seats in the state's upper legislative chamber are up this year.
The Democratic and Republican primaries occurred today in Pennsylvania to select candidates for the November general election. That included the races for half of the State Senate for regular four-year terms - 25 seats overall.
The Pennsylvania State Senate currently features 28 Republicans and 22 Democrats. 22 incumbents ran for re-nomination today - with open seat contests in Districts 15, 31 and 45. A candidate only needs to achieve a plurality of the vote in the primary to receive their party’s nomination.

Incumbent Judy Schwank won the Democratic primary unopposed.
Lisha Rowe won the Republican primary with 76.9% against Miguel Vasquez with 23.1%. 10,851 votes counted.
For District 13:
No candidate qualified for the Democratic primary.
Incumbent Scott Martin won the Republican primary unopposed.
For District 15:
Patty Kim won the Democratic primary with 87.1% against Alvin Taylor with 12.9%. 23,800 votes counted.
Nick DiFrancesco won the Republican primary with 54.7% against Ken Stambaugh with 45.3%. 19,846 votes counted.
