The Democratic and Republican primaries occurred today in Rhode Island to select candidates for the November general election. That included the races for all 75 seats in the State House of Representatives for regular two-year terms.
The Rhode Island House of Representatives currently features 65 Democrats, 9 Republicans and 1 Independent. 70 incumbents ran for re-nomination today - with open seat contests in Districts 15, 21, 26, 53 and 64.
