MGM+ Sets Premiere Date for Limited Series "Earth Abides" Starring Alexander Ludwig

The series is based on the novel by George R. Stewart.

MGM+ has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original limited series Earth Abides starring Alexander Ludwig.

The 6-episode limited series will launch on Sunday, December 1 at 9/8c.

When a plague of unprecedented virulence sweeps the globe, the human race is all but wiped out. In the aftermath, as the great machine of civilization slowly and inexorably breaks down, only a few shattered survivors remain to struggle against the slide into extinction.

In addition to Ludwig, the cast includes Jessica Frances Dukes, Aaron Tveit, Rodrigo Fernandez-Stoll, Elyse Levesque, Luisa D'Oliveira, Birkett Turton, Hilary McCormack and Jenna Berman.

Todd Komarnicki developed the series based on the novel by George R. Stewart. He executive produces with Kearie Peak, Michael Phillips and Juliana Maio. MGM+ Studios and Lighthouse Productions produce.
