2024 Maine House of Representatives Primary Results
All 151 seats of the state's lower legislative chamber are up this year.
The Democratic and Republican primaries occurred today in Maine to select candidates for the November general election. That included the races for all 151 seats in the State House of Representatives for regular two-year terms.
The Maine House of Representatives currently features 81 Democrats, 68 Republicans and 2 Independents. 117 incumbents ran for re-nomination today - with open seat contests in Districts 1, 9, 10, 14, 18, 20, 33, 36, 40, 44, 51, 59, 61, 63, 64, 72, 73, 79, 81, 82, 83, 86, 88, 93, 96, 108, 109, 110, 114, 118, 123, 129, 132, and 136. Ranked-choice voting was implemented in races with three or more candidates. If no one achieves a 50%+1 majority, then the last place finisher will be eliminated and their votes will be allocated to the other candidates.
