Nassau County backed Democrats for eight straight presidential elections from 1992 to 2020. In 2024 though, the county flipped to Republican Donald Trump by a 51.4-47.3 margin against Democrat Kamala Harris. That was a significant flip from Democrat Joe Biden’s 54.1-44.6 victory just four years prior.
