Jimmy Davis Defeats Hudson County Sheriff in Democratic Primary
Democrats and Republicans select their candidates for various county offices today.
The Democratic and Republican primaries occurred today across New Jersey to select candidates for numerous county offices. The results from the state’s 14 most populous counties can be found here - including Bergen, Burlington, Camden, Essex, Gloucester, Hudson, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Passaic, Somerset, and Union Counties. The general election for all of these races will occur on November 4, 2025.
Bergen County Board of Commissioners:
Incumbent Mary Amoroso, incumbent Thomas Sullivan, and incumbent Germaine Ortiz won the Democratic primary with 21.9% (41,067), 19.1% (35,830), and 18.3% (34,405) against Chris Chung with 15.2% (28,606), John Vitale with 13.3% (24,986), and Dolores Witko with 12.2% (22,870). 187,764 votes counted.
Jeffrey Costa Jr., Andrea Slowikowski, and John Dinice won the Republican primary with 29.4% (24,655), 22.5% (18,877), and 22.0% (18,427) against Linda Barba with 15.8% (13,239) and Armen Azarnia with 10.1% (8,463). 83,661 votes counted.
Burlington County Board of Commissioners:
