The Democratic and Republican primaries occurred today in Idaho to select candidates for the November 2026 general election. This post covers the races for county positions in the state’s two most-populous counties - Ada and Canyon. Ada County Board of Commissioners:

Marketing consultant Kelceymarie Warner won the Democratic primary with 66.1% (13,927) against economist Aaron Swisher with 33.9% (7,150). 21,077 votes counted.
Incumbent Ryan Davidson won the Republican primary with 56.9% (27,017) against PR consultant Holly Cook with 43.1% (20,465). 47,482 votes counted.
District 2:
Production assistant Michael Fitzgerald won the Democratic primary with 67.4% (13,597) against former county employee Otto Gramajo with 32.6% (6,564). 20,161 votes counted.

Chief Deputy Coroner Brett Harding won the Republican primary with 59.2% (27,319) against investigator Tim Flaherty with 40.8% (18,795). 46,114 votes counted.
Treasurer:
April Frederick won the Democratic primary.
Credit union executive Todd Christensen won the Republican primary with 68.7% (30,320) against Deputy Treasurer Rob Brown with 31.3% (13,803). 44,123 votes counted.
Canyon County Board of Commissioners:

Farmer Stewart Hyndman won the Republican primary with 40.7% (7,526) against business owner Scott Brock with 30.2% (5,594) and Caldwell Chamber of Commerce CEO Travis Palmer with 29.1% (5,396). 18,516 votes counted.
