The Democratic and Republican primaries occurred today in Maine to select candidates for the November 2026 general election. This post covers the races for all 35 seats in the State Senate. Former State Representative Joel Stetkis won the Republican primary with 59.5% (2,331) against former State Representative Danny Costain with 40.5% (1,585). 3,916 votes counted.

Business owner Lisa Kalp won the Democratic primary.
State Representative Chad Perkins won the Republican primary with 47.9% (2,696) against business owner Joseph Guerin with 32.2% (1,815), Levant selectman Zachary Wood with 15.8% (892), and security executive Gregory Pierce with 4.1% (230). 5,633 votes counted.

Sales executive Robert Sullebarger won the Democratic primary.
State Representative Elizabeth Caruso won the Republican primary.
