The Spaniard battled Jiří Lehečka of the Czech Republic in the final.
Carlos Alcaraz of Spain, 22, defeated Jiří Lehečka of the Czech Republic, 23, to win the Men’s Singles title at the 2025 Queen’s Club Championships in London, United Kingdom (an ATP 500 event). The score in the final was 7-5, 6-7 (5-7 tiebreaker) and 6-2 in favor of Alcaraz.
This was the third match Alcaraz and Lehečka have played against each other on the ATP Tour - with both players winning one of their prior meetings. Today’s victory was the fifth title Alcaraz has won on the 2025 ATP Tour and the 21st title of his career in single’s competition. Notably, this was the fourth title he has claimed from a grass court event and his seventh from a 500-level tournament. Moreover, he remains undefeated in every grass court final he has reached. And finally, he becomes the second player representing Spain to win the title in London twice during the Open Era. He previously prevailed in 2023. The other Spaniard was Feliciano López in 2017 and 2019.
Heading into this tournament, Alcaraz was ranked as the Number 2 tennis player on the 2025 ATP Tour, while Lehečka carried the Number 30 designation. By winning in London, Alcaraz has received 500 points in the overall rankings. Meanwhile, Lehečka has picked up 330 points.
Tommy Paul of the United States (No. 8) was the tournament’s reigning champion. He withdrew from the main draw this year with an abdominal strain. Furthermore, Alcaraz was the event’s top seed while Lehečka competed as an unseeded player.
Alcaraz arrived in the final after winning against lucky loser Adam Walton of Australia (No. 86), Jaume Munar of Spain (No. 59), lucky loser Arthur Rinderknech of France (No. 80), and Roberto Bautista Agut of Spain (No. 51). This was the 27th ATP final he has contested and his tenth at a 500-level event.
In the other half of the main draw, Lehečka defeated fifth seed Alex de Minaur of Australia (No. 12), Gabriel Diallo of Canada (No. 44), Jacob Fearnley of the United Kingdom (No. 60), and second seed Jack Draper of the United Kingdom (No. 6). This was the fifth ATP final he has competed in and his first at a 500-level event.
The revised rankings for the 2025 ATP Tour will be officially released on Monday, June 23. The tour will then play two tournaments from June 22-28: the Mallorca Championships in Santa Ponsa, Spain (an ATP 250 event) and the Eastbourne Open in Eastbourne, United Kingdom (an ATP 250 event). Both competitions will be played on grass courts.
Alejandro Tabilo of Chile (No. 55) is the reigning champion at the Mallorca Championships. He has withdrawn from the main draw of this year’s event. Meanwhile, Taylor Fritz of the United States (No. 4) is the reigning champion at the Eastbourne Open. He is looking to defend the title as the event’s top seed this year. The Top 4 seeds will receive byes into the second round of competition.
And finally, both Alcaraz and Lehečka will be taking the week off in preparation for the season’s third Grand Slam at Wimbledon at the end of the month.
