Netflix Orders Drama "Barbaric" Based on Vault Comic Series
Sheldon Turner and Robert Rovner adapt the comic.
Netflix has today given a series order to the original drama series Barbaric based on the Vault Comic series of the same name.
A ruthless and crass barbarian is cursed to only use his violence for good, which sends him, his talking axe, and a young witch on a road of self discovery, redemption and revenge.
Sheldon Turner and Robert Rovner developed the drama and will serve as co-showrunners on the first season. They will executive produce with Jennifer Klein, Barry Jossen, Tana Jamieson, Javier Grillo-Marxuach, F.J. DeSanto, Damian Wassel, Sam Claflin, Luke Carroll, and Michael Stevenson. A+E Studios, 100% Productions, Soft Claw Productions, and Vault Comics will produce.
The best-selling comic was created by Mike Moreci and Nathan Gooden, and edited by Adrian Wassel.
