At 37 years and 10 months old, she now becomes the oldest woman to win a WTA 500 title. Moreover, this was the second title she has claimed from a grass court event and her first from a 500-level tournament. And finally, this was the first title she has taken since prevailing for the second time at the Copa Colsanitas in April 2023.

In the other half of the main draw, Anisimova defeated wildcard Jodie Burrage of the United Kingdom (No. 162), wildcard Sonay Kartal of the United Kingdom (No. 50), third seed Emma Navarro of the United States (No. 10), and first seed Zheng Qinwen of China (No. 5). This was the sixth WTA final she has contested and her first at a 500-level event.

The tour will then play two tournaments from June 15-22: the German Open in Berlin, Germany (a WTA 500 event) and the Nottingham Open in Nottingham, United Kingdom (a WTA 250 event). Both competitions will be played on grass courts.
