Wisconsin Supreme Court Expands Liberal Majority with Chris Taylor's Victory
The Badger State also held elections for the Boards of Supervisors in Brown, Dane, Milwaukee, and Waukesha Counties.
The nonpartisan general election occurred today in Wisconsin. Voters in the Badger State went to the ballot box to elect their next Supreme Court Justice and numerous county officials. This post covers the results for the statewide race as well as the contests in the state’s four most-populous counties - Brown, Dane, Milwaukee, and Waukesha. Primaries to determine the two candidates advancing to today’s ballot were conducted in February.
Wisconsin Supreme Court:
District IV Court of Appeals judge Chris Taylor won with 60.1% (903,271) against District II Court of Appeals judge Maria Lazar with 39.9% (598,662). 1,501,933 votes counted.
Brown County Board of Supervisors:
For District 1, 2025 Green Bay school board candidate Megan Martens won with 54.3% (1,192) against nurse Dawn Schampers with 45.7% (1,002). 2,194 votes counted.
For District 2, Green Bay city prosecutor Rachel Maes won with 51.3% (1,264) against pastor Luke Farwell with 48.7% (1,198). 2,462 votes counted.
For District 3, incumbent Andy Nicholson won.
For District 4, incumbent Emily Jacobson won with 66.9% (997) against business owner Reyes Flores with 33.1% (493). 1,490 votes counted.
For District 5, incumbent Dan Theno won.
For District 6, former Green Bay school board president Eric Vanden Heuvel won.
For District 7, former De Pere Alderperson Sam Dunlop won.
For District 8, incumbent Megan Borchardt won with 62.1% (952) against engineer Rexton Manibog with 37.9% (581). 1,533 votes counted.
For District 9, incumbent Patrick Evans won.
For District 10, incumbent John Vander Leest won with 54.7% (1,139) against campground host Pete Borchardt with 45.3% (945). 2,084 votes counted.
